Friends of Music, a nonprofit organization, is a dedicated group of music lovers who volunteer their time and talents supporting local public middle and high school music programs has three exciting shows coming up.
“Sounds of the Cinema”, a unique performance by the Presidio Brass of San Diego, a quintet comprised of brass, piano and percussion instruments, will be joined on stage during two special pieces with up to 200 middle and high school students who will have participated in a one-day residency earlier with the professionals. This performance is taking place November 15, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts. The spoken words of the concert will be translated into sign language making this a special opportunity for the hearing impaired.
Ticket prices are: Free for students performing;$5 for students; $15 for teachers and parents of music students and $25 for all others and can be ordered by contacting the Coral Springs Center for the Arts Box Office at 954-344-5990 or Friends of Music at 954-752-5620, by email at llhncs@aol.com or at the door the evening of the concert.
Funding for this project is provided in part by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council, and the Coral Springs Center for the Arts.
A Night of Song” with Baritone Anthony Zoeller and Friends will take place on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at The Sanctuary at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church, 1400 Riverside Drive, Coral Springs 33071. The group will entertain the audience with popular songs, show tunes and opera arias. Ticket prices are: $5 for students; $15 for teachers and parents of music students and $25 for others.

The Jazz Ambassadors
Continuing a tradition of presenting United States military bands in concert, the City of Coral Springs and the Coral Springs Center for the Arts join with the Friends of Music to bring the The Jazz Ambassadors of the U.S. Army Field Band on Wednesday, March 7th, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts. Presented by Friends of Music and sponsored by the City of Coral Springs and the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, this free concert is only open to Coral Springs Residents. These patriotic concert tickets always go quickly, but won’t be available until February.
