A woman was struck by a vehicle in Coral Springs Friday and later died of her injuries, police said.
The deadly crash happened around 4:50 p.m. in the 4600 block of North University Drive, near several department stores.
Officers responded and found the adult female victim critically injured in the parking lot of a nearby shopping center.
They rendered aid until Coral Springs Fire Rescue arrived and began treating the woman, whose name was not made public.
She was airlifted by Broward Sheriff’s Office Air Rescue to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries, police said.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and was cooperating with authorities, police said.
No arrests had been made as of Saturday and the investigation into the crash is ongoing, according to the department.
Additional information about the incident was not made public, including the type of car that struck the woman and its driver’s identity.
