Coral Springs Charter Head Coach Eric Perez is only in his first season with the wrestling team and has already made an impact after eight Panthers qualified for regionals.
“I am beyond proud of what our team has been able to accomplish,” said Coach Perez. “We only had one senior competing at Districts, so needless to say, we are a young team that is only going to improve and get better.”
Michael Mocco (182), who entered the District Tournament with five championships and only one loss, finished second. Preston Lindsay (113) and Jaiden Valentin (120), in third, Hunter Perez (145), Peter Mocco (152), Keon Taylor (160), and Andrew Lustigman (220), in fourth. Logan Bosworth (126) qualified as a wild card.
Next, CSC will compete in Regionals starting on Friday, February 25, at Jensen Beach High School.
