Since the City of Coral Springs declared a State of Emergency on March 13, they are continuing their efforts to communicate with businesses and residents with the latest news.

According to their latest update, they will be suspending all city events and programming that consist of 50 people or more, or have the potential to have more than 50 people, for the next eight weeks per the CDC’s guidance regarding large events and mass gatherings,

Cleveland Clinic, located at Sawgrass and University Drive, will serve as a drive-through testing location for the flu and COVID-19 virus. Currently, they do not have complete details about when or how the site will function but are working with their administration to keep residents and first-responders informed.

County Suspensions

All Broward County Public and Catholic Schools will remain closed until further notice.

City Events and Services

All city events are suspended for the next eight weeks per CDC recommendations.
All park facilities will close effective Wednesday, March 18, including aquatics, tennis center, Coral Springs Gymnasium, and facility rentals. Parks will remain open regular hours.
All temporary use permits for special events are suspended.
All city recreational programs, tournaments, events, and spring break camps are suspended.
All Coral Springs recognized sports leagues are suspended.
All Coral Springs Museum of Art classes, camps, and programming are suspended.
City Hall in the Mall will be closed effective Wednesday, March 18.
Coral Springs Commission Workshop is cancelled for Wednesday, March 18.
Commission Office Hours are suspended. Residents who would like to schedule an appointment by phone with a City Official are asked to call: 954-344-5911.

Other Suspensions

The Center for the Arts has postponed shows through March 31.
Florida Panther’s Ice Den is closed until further notice.

Coral Square Mall announced a change to their operating hours effective March 17, they are 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 12-6 p.m. Sunday until further notice.

The city’s Economic Development Office has activated the Business Hotline – 954-344-5772, to answer questions and address concerns related to Coral Springs commerce. To support local businesses, the city is working to procure raw materials, goods, and services from local vendors.

During this public health emergency, the City of Coral Springs will host Facebook Live Q&A sessions every Monday at 4:00 p.m. to alleviate concerns, answer questions, and keep residents informed.

They will also continue to update residents regularly about event and activity cancellations, facility closures, and other information.
