2019 Coral Springs Holiday Parade
Sharon Aron Baron
After 35 years, the City of Coral Springs is unable to host their traditional annual Holiday Parade along Sample Road and their popular event, Downtown in December, due to the risk of exposing residents to Covid-19.
This year, they made some changes by making it “The Holiday Drive-Thru Experience” to keep residents at a safe distance from one another.
The Drive-Thru Experience, held on Wednesday, December 9, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., is a static display where residents will follow a route along Sportsplex Drive to view and enjoy festively decorated floats created by local community members, businesses, and city departments.
Attendees must enter Sportsplex Drive from Royal Palm Boulevard, and all vehicles will exit the event onto Sample Road. They must remain inside the vehicle, and stopping along the route is not permitted.
Residents can tune to 91.5 FM for special holiday event messaging and familiar music to enhance the experience. For additional information, visit www.coralsprings.org/holiday.
