Three students from Ramblewood Middle School were recognized for their exceptional literary talents at the 2025 Broward School District Literary Fair, held April 29 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
David Thelot took second place in the “Informal Essay” category, while Skylar Jewell earned first place for her “Poetry Interpretation Poster.” Malia Thompson received third place in the “Children’s Book” category.
The annual event, hosted by the Language Arts Department of Broward County Public Schools, is one of the district’s most competitive academic showcases. With more than 860 entries submitted from over 90 district, charter, and private schools across the sixth-largest school district in the nation, the Literary Fair highlights the creative and academic excellence of local students.
Since its inception in 1998, the District-Level Literary Fair has provided a platform for middle and high school students to be recognized for their achievements in poetry, prose, and other language arts projects. The competition categories include a wide variety of written and visual works, each designed to nurture and showcase student creativity and literacy.
