The Coral Springs Museum of Art will offer residents two opportunities to enjoy live music, art, and after-hours entertainment this summer with its upcoming Art@Night: Caribbean Night and Jazz in the Galleries events.
Art@Night: Caribbean Night will take place on Thursday, June 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the museum, located at 2855 Coral Springs Drive. The free event will invite guests to create Carnival-inspired masks using feathers, glitter and other decorative materials while enjoying Caribbean-themed music inside the museum’s Main Gallery.
The evening is designed to combine artmaking, music and tropical-inspired activities in an interactive setting. Food from Reggae Beets and assorted beverages will be available for purchase.
The museum will also host Jazz in the Galleries on Thursday, June 25, and Thursday, July 23, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The performances will feature musicians from the Gold Coast Jazz Society, who will perform throughout the museum galleries.
The Gold Coast Jazz Society showcases professional jazz musicians performing a variety of styles, including classic jazz standards and contemporary works.
Admission for Jazz in the Galleries is $20 for the general public and $5 for museum members. Assorted beverages will be available for purchase during the events.
Guests attending either program will also have access to view the museum’s current exhibitions, Across this Land: America at 250 and Clyde Butcher: Lifeworks in Photography. Both exhibitions will remain on display through Aug. 1.
