Parkridge Christian Academy has officially completed its inaugural season of varsity athletics, wrapping up a strong debut year across multiple sports programs, along with Joshua Clark and Jayda Nowalk being named Athletes of the Year.
The baseball team finished 3–2 over five games, earning victories against Sheridan Hills, David Posnack Jewish Day School, and Everglades Prep Academy. In each of their wins, the Panthers scored at least eight runs. Their two losses came against Deerfield Beach and Lake Worth Christian.
The softball team posted a 6–6–1 record and earned its first-ever win in its second game against Boca Raton Christian. One of their biggest highlights came in a 17–2 victory over Atlantic Christian, marking a season-high in runs scored. The Panthers went on to defeat Atlantic Christian again 17–1 in a rematch, along with additional wins over Berean Christian, Highland Christian, and Atlantic Christian.
In tennis, the boys team picked up a win over Boca Raton Christian and finished the season with 13 individual match victories. The beach volleyball team went 5–3, earning their first program win against Sports Leadership and Management in a 2–1 match. They later secured additional victories over Atlantic Christian, Highland Christian, and Monarch High School.
The boys soccer team earned two wins, including a 6–4 victory over Sagemont Prep. They also added a win against Somerset Prep and played to a draw in a second matchup with Sagemont Prep. The girls’ soccer team finished 4–3–2, with wins over Horeb Christian, Somerset Prep, and Atlantic Christian, and two victories against Sports Leadership and Management.
Basketball was one of the most successful programs of the year, with the boys team finishing 16–7. The girls’ basketball team recorded one win this season, against a non-varsity opponent.
The flag football team opened the year with three shutout victories, outscoring opponents 67–0. They added another shutout win, 26–0, against Everglades Prep Academy before closing the season on a three-game winning streak. The Panthers defeated Horeb Christian 47–0, Hialeah-Miami Lakes 38–6, and Somerset Academy 20–6.
Parkridge will continue sports programming throughout the summer, with its annual sports camp starting on June 8. The camp schedule will feature a week of basketball, baseball/softball, flag football, volleyball, basketball, and soccer. They will also be launching a varsity football team in the fall and were in action for a spring game on May 21. Parkridge played Coral Springs Charter and got touchdowns from Jacob Warren and Ramon Brayan.
Their first regular season game will be on August 14 at Ida Baker High School. They will return home a week later to play Pompano Beach High School, as well as host South Miami, Boca Raton Community School, Palm Beach Christian, and Somerset Prep, while the road games will be against SASH, Northeast, Glades Day, NextGen Prep, and Marathon High School.
