The City of Coral Springs is inviting residents, business owners, and community members to attend a public meeting on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, to provide feedback on the city’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan.
Scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m., the meeting will focus on sidewalk accessibility along city-owned roadways. Public input will help guide the development of the ADA Transition Plan, which aims to identify and remove barriers that prevent individuals with disabilities from fully accessing city services and facilities.
“The ADA Transition Plan is an important initiative that reflects our commitment to an inclusive community,” said City Manager Catherine Givens. “Public input is vital to help us better understand the needs of our residents and prioritize improvements.”
The city received Surtax funding through Broward County’s Mobility Advancement Program (MAP) to conduct the plan under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The federal law requires that all public programs, services, and facilities be accessible to individuals with disabilities.
Residents interested in learning more or participating in the meeting can visit www.coralsprings.gov/forum.
Persons with disabilities who require accommodations to attend the meeting should contact the City Clerk’s Office at 954-344-1065 at least three business days in advance. Those who are hearing or speech impaired may contact the office through the Florida Relay Service by dialing 711.
