Calvin Jackson remembers playing on the undefeated 2015 Coral Springs Charter football team that won a conference championship.
He was among a group of former players who were honored during halftime of the October 10 game against Tradition Prep. Jackson went on to play for the Washington State University football team and spent one year with the New York Jets.
“I had a great experience playing for Coral Springs Charter High School, and I really enjoyed playing college and professional football. Playing in the NFL was a dream for me,” said Jackson, who now works in sports marketing.
Demetrius Rufus also has fond memories of the 2015 undefeated team. He went on to play for Concordia University Chicago and now works as a Margate police officer. Kalen Carson played for Moorhead State University.
During halftime, the alumni players visited with the current Charter team and discussed current and past football experiences. During the game, the alumni sat together under a tent, ate pizza, reminisced about their time in high school and college, and discussed their current lives.
