In celebration of National Give Something Away Day, the City of Coral Springs is collecting new, unopened items to give to local preschools such as art supplies, books, educational toys, and classroom essentials to ensure our youngest learners have the resources they need for a great start. Donations will help create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. The last day to drop off donations is July 11. For drop-off locations, visit CoralSprings.gov/donate.
Now through July 29, residents may notice a chlorine taste or odor in their tap water. All water utilities in the city will temporarily change their chlorinating water method to comply with the Department of Environmental Protection recommendations. This normal process is conducted annually to ensure water quality and compliance. Learn more by visiting CoralSprings.gov/WaterFlushing.
July is National Parks and Recreation Month. From state-of-the-art playgrounds to accomplished sports leagues, scenic trails for walking or jogging, and more, we are fortunate to live in a community where we can live, work, and play. Follow along on city social media as we highlight some of our parks and facilities.
The next Commission meeting will take place on Wednesday, August 7, at 9 a.m. Meetings are aired on CityTV, Blue Stream Channels 25, 25.7, 725, and AT&T U-Verse channel 99. They are also live-streamed at CoralSprings.gov/CityTV.
