Contributing to the yearly Preschool Supply Drive, held in celebration of National Give Something Away Day, can help improve a child’s education.
That’s according to the City of Coral Springs, which is organizing the initiative now through Thursday, July 11, 2024.
The event aims to collect new items such as art supplies, books, educational toys, and classroom essentials to ensure that the youngest members of the community have the resources they need for a successful start to their educational journey.
Residents are encouraged to donate new items, including art supplies, baby wipes, cleaning supplies, diapers, dry-erase markers, first aid kits, large crayons, playdough, playground toys, paper products (cups, plates, bowls), paper towels, preschool books, and sports balls.
These donations will help create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
Drop-off locations include:
Coral Springs Gymnasium at 2501 Coral Springs Drive
The Senior Center at Sartory Hall at 10150 NW 29th Street
The Aquatic Complex at 12441 Royal Palm Blvd
Coral Springs City Hall at 9500 W Sample Road
City Hall In the Mall at Coral Square Mall
For those interested in donating larger items, such as gently used playground equipment or dry-erase boards, please contact Nathalene Carter at NCarter@coralsprings.gov.
