Coral Springs native Caleb Makovsky is officially signed to play college football at Presbyterian College in South Carolina.
“It feels amazing knowing all the hard work on and off the field has paid off,” Makovsky said. “I made both my family and coaches proud. I feel thankful and blessed to commit to Presbyterian College.”
Makovsky started playing football as a freshman at Coral Springs Charter and then transferred to North Broward Prep. As a senior, he caught 12 passes for 161 yards and three touchdowns while the team went 5-6 this year before making his decision.
“I could see myself becoming a better person, player, and student,” Makovsky said. “The coaches texted me every day and wanted me, which is an amazing feeling—going somewhere that you know you want.”
Before college, Makovsky hopes to train and gain more weight to get stronger and faster before arriving on campus. He recently completed the US Army All-American Elevated Mission Bowl and will join a team that went 4-7 last year with wins over Virginia University of Lynchburg, Wofford, Dayton, and Moorehead State.
