In a move towards inclusivity and community support, the City of Coral Springs has partnered with Arc Broward to offer paid summer internships for young adults with developmental disabilities and other employment barriers.
This initiative, a part of the Youth Links program, is creating new pathways to employment for local teens and young adults.
Youth Links, funded mainly by the Children’s Services Council of Broward County, is an experiential learning program targeting students aged 16 to 21. It aims to address career development, social skills, life skills, self-determination, and advocacy. The program blends classroom instruction with real-life experiences during the school year, preparing participants for the workforce.
Coral Springs joins several other Broward County employers in fostering an inclusive work environment.
