The Coral Springs Police Department is looking for young men and women interested in law enforcement to join its Explorer Program for the 2025-2026 year.
This initiative aims to guide participants toward a promising future through hands-on training, competitions, leadership development, teamwork, and community service.
The Police Explorer Program provides young adults with practical experiences in law enforcement while promoting discipline, friendship, and service to the community. Participants work alongside Coral Springs police officers, gaining firsthand knowledge of the profession and assisting the department in various community engagement efforts.
Prospective Explorers must be between the ages of 14 and 21 and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. They should demonstrate a positive attitude, good moral character, and a strong commitment to excellence and volunteerism. Being community-minded is essential for those who wish to join.
Interested candidates must complete a pre-registration form, after which a Police Explorer coordinator will follow up with further details. Due to limited availability, submitting a pre-registration form does not guarantee placement in the program. The deadline to pre-register is May 1, 2025.
For more information or to apply, visit the Coral Springs Police Department website or contact the department’s Explorer Program coordinator at mmartin@coralsprings.gov.
