A pet python that slithered deep inside a car’s dashboard had to be rescued with the help of firefighters Saturday night after its owner pulled up to a Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department station asking for help.
According to the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department, the unusual rescue happened around 7 p.m. at Station 43 when a woman arrived with an urgent problem: her snake had somehow worked its way into the dashboard area of her vehicle, and she couldn’t get it out.
Firefighters quickly began dismantling parts of the dashboard and making loud noises to coax the reptile out of hiding.
Video from the scene captured the moment the snake finally emerged. As the woman carefully eased the python free, she could be heard saying, “Oh my god,” while others nearby reacted with shouts of “Yeah!” and “Whoa!”
The department said there were no injuries to either the snake or the humans involved in the unusual rescue.
