Students and staff at Eagle Ridge Elementary School in Coral Springs gathered on Friday to honor the lives lost in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy while celebrating unity through a Day of Love and Service.
As part of the observance, and to commemorate the school’s 30th anniversary serving the community, students, faculty, and staff assembled on the school field to form a large “30,” symbolizing hope, strength, and the school’s shared commitment to kindness and community.
According to Fifth Grade Teacher Jessica Schroeder, throughout the day, students participated in service projects, wrote messages of kindness, and engaged in discussions focused on empathy, inclusion, and mutual support.
“Together, we honor the past by strengthening the present and building a future rooted in love, service, and unwavering community support,” said Schroeder.
