By: Matt Rothman
Coral Glades baseball continues to click late in the season as they picked up a 10-1 win on a Wednesday night against Plantation High School.
Elijah Leon made the start and was sensational. He pitched five innings allowing no runs and registering ten strikeouts. He also went 2-2 at the plate with a walk. Jordan Archer and Angelo Smith both pitched scoreless innings as the Jaguars allowed only two hits all game.
Offensively, Nick Basso drove in three runs with a triple. Anthony Quigley had a two-run single while Archer had the other RBI.
Kenny Handler scored two runs, and Josh Howitt, Andre Juhasz, Evan Puccio, Julian Rodriguez, Ashton Singpradith, and Angelo Smith had one.
This was Coral Glades’ 11th win of the season as they will play one more regular-season game on Thursday, April 22, against Santaluces High School at 6:30 p.m.
