Trace Thelwell and Andre Juhasz of Coral Glades baseball had a historic night at the plate as the two combined to drive in ten runs in the Jaguars 16-10 win over Deerfield Beach High School.
Thelwell had one of his two hits go for a home run and also hit a sacrifice fly. Juhasz had four hits in the game and also drove in four runs.
Nick Basso, Brady Marr, and Jon Perez all had RBI’s, while Emanuel Sohit registered the win on the mound. He allowed two runs in four innings and stuck out five.
The Jaguars had played the previous two nights and lost on Senior day to American Heritage on Wednesday but won 8-1 over Coral Springs High School on Thursday following a great pitching performance from Anthony Quigley and a pair of RBI’s from Angelo Smith.
For head coach Joe Franco, his senior group has meant a lot to him, and he was proud to see his team respond the past two days with wins.
“This group has really taken my philosophy and run with it,” said Coach. “They are great examples for my younger players and are a bunch of great kids and hard workers.
Coral Glades will play four more regular-season games this year and face Coral Springs Charter on Thursday, April 15 at 6:30 p.m. The Panthers are coming off a big win over North Broward Prep Friday night.
