November 16, 2014 • By Sharon Aron BaronBy: Sharon Aron Baron
The Coral Springs Middle School Jazz band students have been accepted to perform at the prestigious Midwest Clinic in Chicago and will be holding a fundraiser for the event at Wings Plus.
The Midwest Clinic is a National Music Conference for Music Educators from all over the country, and even the world. Bands and Orchestras that perform at this clinic are considered among the best in the United States and only two schools have ever been accepted from Broward County. Coral Springs Middle School is honored to be one of them.
On Monday, November 17, between 5-8 p.m., they will be partnering with Wings Plus to raise money to help the students defray the cost of this trip and asking all residents to join them where 20 percent of their check will be donated to the band.
Wings Plus is located at 9880 West Sample Road in Coral Springs.
