The vibrant culture of Japan, its customs, and cuisine will take center stage at Coral Springs’ International Dinner Dance.
This annual event, hosted by the Multi-Cultural Advisory Committee, will transform the Marriott Heron Bay into a Japanese-themed haven on Saturday, August 26, at 7 p.m.
Every year, this sold-out event showcases a different culture, bringing residents together to enjoy an evening of immersive international experiences right at their doorstep. This year, the evening promises to transport attendees to the Land of the Rising Sun in honor of Japan.
Commissioner Nancy Metayer Bowen, serving as the Commission Liaison for this year’s event, voiced her appreciation for the cultural significance of the occasion.
“The International Dinner Dance is a testament to the richness and diversity of our remarkable community,” she said. “By elegantly showcasing the customs and traditions of various nations, we not only celebrate our differences but also foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for one another.”
A tribute to the city’s 60th anniversary, the tickets are priced at $60. The ticket ensures a night full of immersive Japanese experiences, from the vibrant cherry blossom decor to the intricate flavors of Japanese-inspired cuisine.
DJ music will fill the air, and attendees will witness traditional Japanese-style entertainment. To remember the special night, a photo booth will be available, and guests are encouraged to dance the night away to celebrate the city’s diversity.
Tickets, limited in number, will not be sold at the door and are available for purchase on the CoralSprings.gov/DinnerDance website. The celebration, held at 11775 Heron Bay Blvd, is presented by Al Hendrickson Toyota.
