Fluffy ‘snow’ and bold flavors have landed in Coral Springs this holiday season, with the arrival of a new store offering a deliciously unique spin on a traditional treat.
The popular shaved ice chain Pelican’s Snoballs has over 200 locations nationwide but had yet to open in a South Florida location until this past week’s grand opening in Coral Springs.
Once a Ben & Jerry’s, the shop is located at 9641 Westview Drive next to Regal Magnolia Place. They are best known for offering over 100 flavors, including seasonal offerings. Flavors range from the traditional cherry and grape to signature unique concoctions that require a bit of research, such as ‘Unicorn,’ ‘Frogger,’ ‘Butterfly Kiss,’ and ‘Pretty Princess.’
Pelican’s says that while its flavors are bold, the base, its fluffy snowball, is as traditional as New Orleans. The chain says it has served its Cresent City-inspired treats for over 20 years.
Pelican’s Snoball is open Mondays to Thursdays and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday’s 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
