Whether it’s the tantalizing scent of fresh-baked Sicilian pizza, the mile-high succulent tuna melt, or just the warm family welcome, there is something for everyone at the Pizza Carousel.
Founded in 1987, Rami Krispin and his daughter Emily Talley invite South Florida residents to join them in celebrating Pizza Carousel’s 35th anniversary week event.
Born in Jerusalem, Israel, Rami moved to New Hampshire in the 80s, where he learned classic Italian cooking from a renowned Sicilian chef. After vacationing to South Florida, he knew he had to set up shop, and after a “short” 35 years later, he has seen generations of families come through to enjoy the food.
“I’ve had numerous customers I served as children come back with their kids; I saw them grow up. Our community truly feels like family to me,” says Rami.
The backbone of Pizza Carousel is the quality of the food: baked ziti, calzones, lasagna, ravioli, stuffed shells, stromboli, and spaghetti and meatballs topped with their Sicilian-style marinara roasted on a high flame and simmered for ten hours. They also have a “no fried” policy and use skim milk cheese to make healthier, delicious cuisine with purified water to enhance the sauce, dough, and beverages.
Covid has been tough for everyone the last two years, but the staff wants the community to know they work diligently to keep sanitized, friendly, and safe.
In the future, Rami plans to expand throughout South Florida while maintaining its current locations’ high-quality standards. Pizza Carousel also loves to host fundraisers for schools, police, and firefighters to give back. Call them at 954-344-2717 or visit their website to ask about catering specials.
The future looks bright and cheesy for this thriving South Florida pizzeria.
