J.P. Taravella High School.
The Coral Springs Police Department said it is investigating a threat that originated at J.P. Taravella High School and emphasized that the department takes all threats seriously.
In a statement issued Friday morning, police said they are aware of the threat and are actively investigating the incident.
The department also addressed reports circulating on social media that suggest a new threat involving Coral Glades High School. According to police, that information is inaccurate and stems from the same original threat connected to J.P. Taravella High School.
Officials urged students not to repost or share threats on social media. Instead, they encouraged anyone who sees such content to report it directly to school administrators and law enforcement.
Police said additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
