The Ramblewood Middle School Drama program is thrilled to announce that their One Act play “Othello or Tracking the Green Eyed Monster” was selected as one of only four schools to advance to the Florida State Junior Thespian Festival.
Because of this great honor, Ramblewood Middle will need to raise more funds to take this trip, therefore they will have a special fundraising performance held on Thursday, January 31st at 6:30 pm at JP Taravella High School Auditorium.
Under the supervision of Ramblewood’s Drama Director Darla Warrior, students at the Festival earned accolades such as “Educational and entertaining” “Best Diction and Projection of the Day” and “Beautiful costumes and an attractive cast.”
It is highly unusual for a public school that does not have a magnet program in drama to receive this recognition, but Ramblewood Drama’s Superior Ratings at Districts last month including two “best scores” overall earned them the honor of presenting at States.
