The Coral Springs Museum of Art is gearing up for a summer full of creativity and learning with its diverse range of summer camps for children and teens.
The camps, which run from June 11 to August 9, provide an indoor, art-focused alternative to the summer heat and rain.
The museum offers tailored programs for different age groups: Art Start for ages 5-6, Cultural Camps for ages 7-12, and Teen Studios for ages 13-17. Each program is designed to nurture artistic skills and foster a love for art in a supportive environment.
Art Start for Ages 5-6
The Art Start program introduces young children to the world of art through engaging and interactive activities. Kids will explore various art forms, enhancing their creativity. The sessions are as follows:
- Session 1: June 11-June 21 (No camp on June 19) | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | $175 Members, $200 Non-Members
- Session 2: June 24-July 5 (No camp on July 4) | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | $200 Members, $225 Non-Members
- Session 3: July 8-July 19 | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | $225 Members, $250 Non-Members
- Session 4: July 22-August 2 | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | $225 Members, $250 Non-Members
Cultural Camps for Ages 7-12
Cultural Camps provide a diverse range of art experiences, including ceramics, painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media. Children will learn about different cultures and art styles. The sessions are:
- Cultural Art Camp: Egypt | Session 1: June 11-June 21 (No camp on June 19) | $350 Members, $400 Non-Members
- Cultural Art Camp: Cuba | Session 2: June 24-July 5 (No camp on July 4) | $400 Members, $450 Non-Members
- Cultural Art Camp: Germany | Session 3: July 8-July 19 | $450 Members, $500 Non-Members
- Cultural Art Camp: Polynesia | Session 4: July 22-August 2 | $450 Members, $500 Non-Members
Teen Studios for Ages 13-17
Teen Studios are designed for older students to delve deeper into art techniques and concepts. Participants will work on advanced projects, receive mentorship from professional artists, and have opportunities to exhibit their work. The sessions include:
- Construct Your Sketchbook | Session A: June 11-June 21 (No camp on June 19) | 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | $175 Members, $200 Non-Members
- Painting On The Move | Session B: June 24-July 5 (No camp on July 4) | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | $200 Members, $225 Non-Members
- 3D and Mixed Media | Session B: June 24-July 5 (No camp on July 4) | 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | $200 Members, $225 Non-Members
- Teen Painting and Drawing Studio | Session C: July 8-July 19 | 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | $225 Members, $250 Non-Members
- Drawing Out & About | Session D: July 22-August 2 | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | $225 Members, $250 Non-Members
- Portfolio Development | Session D: July 22-August 2 | 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | $225 Members, $250 Non-Members
- Teen Ceramics Studio | Multiple sessions available | 3:15 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Prices vary by session
Mini Camp
The Mini Camp offers a one-week intensive where students rotate between art studios, practicing different materials and techniques. The sessions are:
- Mini Camp – Ages 5-6 | August 5-August 9 | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | $100 Members, $125 Non-Members
- Mini Camp – Ages 7-12 | August 5-August 9 | 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. | $225 Members, $250 Non-Members
- Teen Art Studio – Mini Camp | August 5-August 9 | 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | $100 Members, $125 Non-Members
