Registration is now open for the annual Remembrance 5K to honor victims of September 11.
Each year, the City of Coral Springs remembers the victims and honors the heroes of September 11, 2001. Due to Hurricane Irma, the event was rescheduled for Saturday, November 18.
Awards will be given out to the top three overall male and female, as well as the top three in the age-appropriate categories. Team awards will also be given out to the top fire rescue department, law enforcement department, EMT paramedic department, and top club. Everyone who competes will receive a finisher medal and t-shirt.
The race starts at the Northwest Regional Library at 7 a.m. Registration is $25 for adults, $15 for students 19 and under and $20 for emergency service personnel.
