State Rep. Dan Daley, D-Coral Springs, has been appointed to serve on five committees and subcommittees for Florida’s upcoming legislative sessions.
These include the Commerce Committee, the Regulatory Reform Subcommittee, the Infrastructure & Tourism Appropriations Subcommittee, the Environment, Agriculture & Flooding Subcommittee, and the Local Administration & Veterans Affairs Subcommittees.
Fur Daley, all but the Infrastructure & Tourism Appropriations Subcommittee are new appointments and says he looks forward to serving on all of them.
“All of the committees could have a significant impact on the district,” said Daley, “It will depend on the session and what bills are filed and progress in the process.”
Committee weeks occur in January and February, and the 60-day legislative session begins in March.
With a wide range of topics, Daley will be able to advocate for the district on issues such as the economy, infrastructure, regulation of businesses, tourism, agriculture, and environmental protection.
“[I’m looking for] the opportunity to advance legislation that can assist Floridians in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic and the myriad of issues facing our state,” said Daley.
