2024 Teen Political Forum {City of Coral Springs}
High school students from Coral Springs and Parkland will have the opportunity to engage with local, county, and state leaders at the annual Teen Political Forum.
Held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., this open mic-style event allows students to ask questions directly to elected officials about issues that matter to them, from education policies and public safety to environmental concerns and social justice topics.
Last year, more than 430 students participated in the forum, which has become a cornerstone of civic engagement for local youth since its creation in 2007 by former Coral Springs Mayor Roy Gold.
The event is student-led, with representatives from Coral Glades, Coral Springs High, Coral Springs Charter, J.P. Taravella, and Marjory Stoneman Douglas coordinating efforts alongside city staff.
Details on this year’s panel of elected officials are expected to be announced soon.
The Teen Political Forum serves as a unique opportunity for students to engage in meaningful discussions, learn about government operations, and make their voices heard. Attendance is encouraged for all high school students interested in shaping their communities and staying informed about policies that affect their futures.
Students can submit their questions in advance by tweeting @TeenPolForum and using the hashtag #TeenPoliticalForum.
Held at the Center for the Arts, 2855 Coral Springs Drive, Coral Springs, 33065. This event is free to attend. For more information, follow @TeenPolForum on social media.
