With winter holidays around the corner, parents must decide how to keep their children occupied. If camp is in the cards, we have compiled a list of options throughout the Coral Springs area for your consideration.
Winter Break Soccer Camp

For soccer players of all levels ages 5 to 13, Soccer Academy & Training is offering two camps at Pine Trails Park. Week one runs December 23 to 27 (excluding 12/25), and week two is December 30 to January 3 (excluding 1/1) from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The cost is $125 per week, and players should register at satsfl.net to hold a spot.
School of Rock
7544 Wiles Road, C-102, Coral Springs
Enjoy a four-day camp, described as an “amped up” version of School of Rock’s performance program. Their goal is that each child walks away with not just newfound musical abilities, but fantastic memories and friends as well. Full-day camps are for ages 7 to 17 at any skill level. City of Parkland Winter Break Camp at the P-REC

Campers will take a trip within the tri-county area every day. The hours for camp are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. from December 23 to 27 (excluding 12/25) and December 30 to January 3 (excluding 1/1). The cost is $250 per week for Parkland residents and $300/week for non-residents. For more information, call 954-757-1405. Parents must register onsite at the P-REC.
ART Paper Scissors

Children starting at age five will explore their creativity through the art-focused curriculum. They will be introduced to a variety of mediums and styles, from painting to mixed media, crafts, and games. The hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, December 23 through Friday, December 27 (closed on 12/25), and Monday, December 30 through Friday, January 3 (closed on 1/1), with a bonus day on Monday, January 6. Kingdom Training Winter Basketball Camp

At this co-ed basketball camp for children ages five and up, players will be separated into different divisions based on age and skill level. The camp includes intense drills, skill-building, and games to improve and maximize each child’s potential. The hours for camp are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from December 23 to 27 (excluding 12/25) and December 30 to January 3 (excluding 1/1). American Twisters Gymnastics Fun Days

Children ages five and up can choose from daily gymnastics fun days on December 30, 31, January 2, 3, and 6. Coral Springs Museum of Art

During winter break, have your children stay active through the exploration of the arts. Students are invited to experience fun and engaging studio classes taught by professional artists. Winter in the Studio has daily sessions on December 30, 31, January 2, 3, or 6, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for $60 per day. Build video games, program drones, or create websites, all while learning how to code. Children ages 7 to 14 can choose from a variety of daily morning or full-day programs from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. ($45) or from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. ($80). Camp GTA
Gerri’s Travel Adventures and Programs is offering a winter camp with a full line-up of adventures, like Lion Country Safari and the Museum of Discovery and Science. GerriAnn Pane is a former City of Parkland camp director of 22 years. Travel camps for ages 5 to 12 will take place on December 23, 26, 27, 30, January 2, and 3 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the cost is $50 a day or $250 for all six days.
