Students can experience live art lessons at the Coral Springs Museum of Art’s first-ever virtual summer camp.
The 10-week program Zoom into the Studio offers opportunities for students to develop their artistic skills in an interactive and engaging atmosphere with lesson plans taught by professional artists.
“In our museum, we profoundly believe art can benefit our community as an outlet for education, therapy, cognitive and emotional development, among so much more,” said Brittany Curtis, Programs and Education Manager for the Coral Springs Museum of Art.
The live art lessons ensure students receive instant feedback and directions from the instructor. In addition, it encourages students to engage with one another during “Open Class Time.” Lessons will be conducted through the video conferencing app, Zoom, and are offered daily, Monday through Friday for an hour and a half.
Curtis said the potential benefits through this program – for the children and their families – are endless.
“Now more than ever, we need to be creative and find ways to offer channels of support to our residents, be it educationally or emotionally, and that’s exactly what our Zoom into the Studio program aims to accomplish.”
This program is for young artists 6-15 years-old and begins Monday, June 15, 2020.
