5 Coral Springs High School Softball Players Graduate

Coral Springs High School softball played only six games but had their season cut short due to COVID-19.

In them, the Colts won once, 13-3, against Stranahan High School for their lone win back on March 4. They had five seniors on the team in Sophia Cleter, Madison Perez, Alyssa Vazquez, Rebecca Rodrigues, and Katherine Pham.

Cleter had the lone home run on the team and drove in seven of the teams 21 runs this year with an incredible .600 batting average. Perez, Vaquez, and Rodrigues all appeared in at least five games, and Vasquez had two RBI’s.

On the mound, Pham earned the win and struck out 30 hitters in her six appearances.

Aaliya Castro had a strong season both at the plate and in the field. She drove in four runs and had a .1000 fielding percentage. She added two doubles as well, and both Kristen Russo, Jazzlyn Kopcyzk, and A’leigha Mcnutt all chipped in on offense as the Colts will turn their attention to 2021 when they hope to have a strong season.
