It was an incredible run for the Coral Springs High School basketball team with their deep run in the playoffs.
With that, Kymani Quarrie, who had two game-winning shots in both the District Final and Regional Quarterfinals, won MVP in BCAA All-Star Classic North vs. South Central Thursday night, as he hit five of six from three-point territory and scored 17 points.
Winning MVP meant everything to him in such a difficult year impacted by COVID-19.
“With COVID-19 and all the ups and downs this year, it’s definitely something to smile about,” Quarrie said. “I just wanted to have fun, knowing it was my last time being able to do so at a high school level and at the same time while repping Coral Springs High.”
Quarrie had a pair of teammates in Roshad Morris and Jevaughn Morris. The South All-Star team won the game 93-78.
Also playing was Thomas Frazier from Marjory Stoneman Douglas, including two juniors Diego Rodriguez and Sean Sucarichi, and three kids from Coral Glades in Marcus Lewis, Shane Geddes, and Tyler Leroy.
