Week five of the high school football season begins Friday between two arch-rivals: J.P. Taravella and Coral Glades High School.
This game will be the second annual Jason G. Stein Swamp Bowl, honoring former JPT Athletic Director Jason Stein, who died from COVID-19 last year. Coral Glades won the first meeting 21-12 in 2020.
Taravella comes into the matchup without a win in four games. The Trojans are most recently coming off a 46-10 loss against Charles W Flanagan High School. Outscored 99-0 in their first two matchups, they scored a pair of touchdowns in their next two games.
For Coral Glades, they have only played two games. The Jaguars have had a pair of matchups canceled, then defeated Coral Springs High School 42-6 in their first game.
This highly anticipated matchup will kick off on Friday, October 1, at 7 p.m. at Coral Glades. Tickets can be purchased at Go.Fan.co.
