For the fourth time this season, Coral Springs Charter eight-grader Michael Mocco won a wrestling tournament on Saturday, taking home first place in the Battle at the Bay Tournament at Cypress Bay High School.
Earlier this year, Mocco previously won the Gillis Strong Invitational, Stallion Super Slam, and Broward County Athletic Association Championship.
For the rest of the team, the Panthers finished in fifth place. Keon Taylor, Jaiden Valentin, and Preston Lindsay each took third place, while Hunter Perez came in fourth.
“Everyone is working really hard and are peaking at the perfect time for the postseason,” said Head Coach Eric Perez.
Next, the Panthers will compete at the Jupiter High School Raich Memorial Tournament on February 11-12.
