A Coral Springs Publix will close next month so that crews can demolish and rebuild the store, with an anticipated re-opening one year later, according to the company and city records.
The Ramblewood Square supermarket, located at the corner of Ramblewood and North University Drives, will close at 5 p.m. on May 7, said Publix Media Relations Manager Lindsey Wallace.
The 33-year-old building will be demolished and a new one built in its place, with the reopening scheduled for May 2023.
Kitson & Partners is the property owner, records show. J Raymond Construction Corporation is the general contractor for the project.
“We are always evaluating our stores to provide our customers a pleasurable experience by having a store that meets their shopping needs for today and into the future,” Wallace said.
Another Coral Springs Publix, located at 8160 Wiles Rd., reopened in February following a year-long closure for a similar rebuild.
