A new business in Coral Springs offering parents a flexible and reliable hybrid childcare option has officially opened its doors.
The Grand Opening of Softopolis Children Wellness Center took place on January 6. The new short-term drop-in childcare option, located at 11350 Wiles Road, advertises itself as a support tool that will help parents balance work, family, and life by offering reliable and safe child care.
The ribbon-cutting celebration featured local leader attendees, including Chamber members, State Representative Christine Hunschofsky, and Coral Springs Mayor Scott Brook.
The event also included a tour of the facility and time spent with the owner, Courtney Colon, of Coral Springs, who shared her motivation for opening the business.
For one community leader in attendance at the grand opening, the event marks a step in the right direction for parents seeking an alternative to traditional childcare options.
“Child care is a struggle for many parents, so seeing a business open up that is providing short-term care would fulfill a gap for those who cannot or do not want or need long-term care or have family in the area to assist them,” said Cindy Brief, President of the Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber to Coral Springs Talk.
According to the Softopolis recent events calendar, children in their care will have the opportunity to participate in activities that involve much more than just open play time, including a series of music and Zumbini classes.
With childcare being notoriously expensive and increasingly hard to find, Softopolis aims to provide parents with a hybrid option that allows not only flexibility but an environment in which children will do much more than just be looked after but thrive.
“Softopolis is a drop-in child care center for parents who need safe and reliable short-term care during, for example, times when they’re working out or running errands,” Brief said.
“The concept is great for working families who need a few hours to handle day-to-day house responsibilities.”
