Broward Schools Honor Local Students and Staff with Annual Character Awards

Broward County Public Schools will celebrate its 25th Annual Kids and Staff of Character Awards on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

The ceremony recognizes 50 outstanding students and 20 dedicated staff members who exemplify the district’s core character traits—cooperation, responsibility, citizenship, kindness, respect, honesty, self-control, and tolerance.

Organized by BCPS Mental Health Services and sponsored by the Broward Education Foundation, J.M. Family, and the Hanley Foundation, the event acknowledges those who have been role models in creating positive, respectful learning environments throughout the year.
