Progress continues on Coral Glades High School’s new performing arts center.
The design phase is nearly complete, and CORE Construction will soon begin construction of the performing arts center. “We plan to break ground in October 2026 and finish in December 2028,” said Principal Dr. Mark Kaplan.
The auditorium will provide a large venue for the performing arts, seating over 800. A black box theater is also planned. The estimated cost is about $44 million. Renderings will be released soon, Kaplan said.
“It will have state-of-the-art equipment and host all our performing arts programs. We’ll hold performances and assemblies there,” Kaplan said.
The Coral Glades community has long awaited an auditorium. The school serves about 2,900 students and is among the few statewide without one. Events have been held in the cafeteria, Kaplan said.
