
Coral Glades Football Hosts Senior Night. {Athletics}
Week nine of the high school football season did not feature any wins, but it did see 60 seniors recognized at Coral Glades, along with recognition from their athletic trainer.
Coral Glades finished the regular season with a 19-10 loss against Nova High School on Friday night. The Jaguars honored Edward Burns, Anthony Casseus, Ethan Claire, Antwan Clark, Tyler Coury, Jadyn Dantinour, Avery Evans, Lens Honore, Daniel Jackson, Joseph Kogan, Nevin Rivera, Jordan Roberts, Elijah Shelton, Romero Williams, and Sam Zayed.
The training staff featured Fatima Young and Sofia Rivero. At the same time, Nathalie Arelaez-Henao, Arielle Bennett, Noelle Brooks, Anastasia Carrasco, Annabelle Desormes, McKinlee Dominguez, Gianna Feder, Kiersten Eaton, Fabianna Gonzalez, Isabella Infante, Laisa Loor, Alyssa Onofre, Lory Piloto, Valerie Ramos, Alexis Quinn, Kaylie Santiago-Areras, Haley Swickle, and Ryleigh Williamson were honored from the cheerleading team. Gabrielle Anglin, Fernando Castro, Tiffany Chen, Makayla Eleutt, Julie Esposito, Evelyn Frias, Santino Pacheco, Valery Perez, Leonardo Perez-Fernandez, Dominic Tyrell, and Emma Urbinayha are from the band.
The ROTC featured Tyler Adams, Nikkolis Armstrong, Tyler Daza, Ange Francois, Emile Guerra, Aidan Leclair, Cheyenne Murphy, Andre Reynolds, Marion Simpson, and Mariana Young. Bianca Gibbs and Bradley Pryor were honored from the golf team, while Ishiah Joseph was the lone senior from the bowling team.
Their athletic trainer, Dani Lewis, was also named Athletic Trainer of the Month by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Coral Glades is now 6-4 and will await to see who they will play in the postseason. Coral Springs Charter played on Thursday, losing to Marjory Stoneman Douglas 28-6. Noah Yarbrough had two carries for 57 yards rushing and also had an interception. The Panthers finished the season 5-5 and will await to see if they qualify for the postseason. Coral Springs High School’s losing streak continued following a 3-0 loss to Fort Lauderdale High School on Friday night. The Colts have one more game left, trying to avoid a winless season, playing J.P. Taravella in their final game.
The Trojans lost to Goleman Hugh School 56-0 and are 1-8 heading into a matchup against the Colts. Their only win came against Pompano Beach High School as CSHS won 40-7 last year, as JPT went winless in 2024.
