The Coral Glades Marching Jaguars earned some significant honors at the state championship.
On Saturday, November 8, the Jaguars participated in the 2025 Florida Marching Band Championships at Pitbull Stadium at Florida International University. They earned the Overall Percussion award, making the Jaguars the number one-ranked percussion section in Florida, according to band director Alexander Sanchez.
In the finals performance, the Marching Jaguars finished in fifth place, with an overall score of 70.75. This is the first time since 2019 that Coral Glades has been to the state finals and placed, according to Sanchez.
“I am incredibly proud of all the hard work and dedication my students have put in this season. My staff and I really pushed them hard this year, and they surpassed all our expectations. As the band director, I cannot wait to see the continued growth of this program,” said Sanchez.
