A teacher at Coral Springs Charter School has been arrested, according to the Coral Springs Police Department.
In a statement posted on social media Thursday afternoon, police confirmed the arrest but did not release the teacher’s name or the nature of the alleged offense. Authorities said the case remains under active investigation.
“This is an ongoing investigation and we kindly ask that you do not call our non-emergency number for information,” the department said in its post. “We will be releasing further details when it becomes available.”
The department also stated on social media: “Traditionally we don’t put out posts with limited information, however we wanted to acknowledge the incident, while still upholding the integrity of the investigation … There is no threat to the public.”
No additional information about the teacher’s role at the school or the circumstances leading to the arrest was immediately released.
