This season, Anthony Fiore, who has been a tremendous asset for Coral Springs Charter, is now committed to playing college baseball.
The senior picked Palm Beach State College for fall 2022.
“It has been a very long recruiting process, and I’m happy to have found a school that best fits me,” said Anthony. “It’s been a dream of mine to play collegiate baseball, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity.”
Anthony began playing at three before moving on to travel baseball. For the past six years, he’s been part of the Cannons Baseball University program, showcasing his skills to play at the next level.
During his junior season with Coral Springs High School, he’s recorded nine hits in 24 at-bats as a junior. This season, he joined CSC and leads the team with a .485 batting average and has a home run and 22 RBIs under Head Coach Charlie Fine.
“I’m so happy for Anthony and his family,” Fine said. “He is having a terrific season this year for us and has really helped take our program to another level. He deserves this opportunity, and Palm Beach State is getting a really good player and person in Fiore for the next four years.”
Baseball runs in the Fiore family’s blood. His father, Mark, who coaches Anthony, was a catcher at Northern Illinois University. His Uncle Vince played at Ole Miss and his grandfather, Bob, went to Northern Illinois University.
While Anthony had several schools to choose from, his decision to attend Palm Beach College came down to finding “a talented and successful baseball program led by a proven winner.”
While helping Palm Beach College win 59 games over the past two seasons, Palm Beach College Coach Kyle Forbes recently picked up his 600th career win.
