Police: Coral Springs Man Used Cash App and Fake Instagram to Sell Ex-Girlfriend’s Private Sexually Explicit Videos

A Coral Springs man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he created fake social media accounts impersonating his former girlfriend and sold sexually explicit videos and images of her online without her permission.

According to a Coral Springs Police Department arrest report, Mauricio Alejandro Burga Zorrilla, 26, was arrested and charged with three counts of theft or unauthorized promotion of a sexually explicit image and one count of sexual cyberharassment.

According to investigators, the alleged crimes occurred between November 2025 and January 2026 and stemmed from content the victim had consensually created with Burga Zorrilla while they were in a relationship from approximately December 2021 until January 2024.

Police said the victim agreed to videos and photographs being taken during their relationship but never gave permission for them to be shared or sold after the relationship ended.

The investigation began after the victim was notified in January about an Instagram account using her likeness under the handle “carolin4guti3rrez945.” The account allegedly advertised compilations of sexually explicit videos for sale through Instagram Stories. The victim told detectives she recognized photos that she had previously sent only to Burga Zorrilla.

Investigators said a third party contacted the account posing as a customer and documented conversations in which the account allegedly offered multiple video compilations for sale. According to the affidavit, the account initially quoted $40 each for two 11-minute compilations, then offered both for $70 as a first-time buyer deal, directing payment through Cash App using the account “$mimbo0.”

Police said the undercover buyer never completed the purchase but provided detectives with screenshots of the conversations. Investigators also reviewed thumbnail images allegedly sent by the account and said the victim identified herself in the explicit images.

The affidavit states the victim later identified the Cash App account as belonging to Burga Zorrilla and provided investigators with Cash App records from when they were dating. She also told detectives she had previously asked him to delete the intimate images after their breakup.

Detectives obtained search warrants for Meta, Cash App and AT&T during the investigation. According to the affidavit, records linked the Instagram account to an IP address associated with Burga Zorrilla’s Coral Springs residence and an account billed to his father.

Cash App records also allegedly identified Burga Zorrilla through identity verification documents, including a Florida driver’s license and selfie photographs.

Investigators said Meta provided chat logs showing conversations in which the account impersonating the victim discussed prices for explicit videos, accepted payments, and distributed download links to multiple users.

The affidavit also alleges that Burga Zorrilla exchanged messages with buyers about different video compilations and received Cash App payments with descriptions referencing videos and compilations.

Burga Zorrilla was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail.
