A Coral Springs man was one of seven suspects from across Broward County who were arrested in a crackdown on human trafficking surrounding the 2026 World Cup matches in South Florida, authorities said.
According to a Broward County Sheriff's Office arrest report, Kyle Andrew Rosenthal. 32, was arrested June 25 during an undercover child exploitation operation. Detectives were conducting an undercover operation from the Cambria Hotel in Dania Beach aimed at identifying adults using electronic communications to solicit children. An undercover detective posed online as a 14-year-old girl using the anonymous messaging app Hush.
Investigators say Rosenthal continued communicating with the undercover profile even after being told the girl was 14 years old. According to the affidavit, his response was, "Oooh, I'm 30."
Authorities allege the conversation quickly turned sexual. Rosenthal allegedly told the girl that he would "be down to make out if that didn't make you feel awkward" before discussing additional sexual acts he wanted to perform.
Detectives said Rosenthal eventually agreed to meet the girl in person at the Cambria Hotel on June 25.
Court records state that Rosenthal drove from his Coral Springs home to the hotel after messaging the undercover detective to say he was on his way. Following his arrest, investigators said Rosenthal corroborated the online conversation documented by detectives.
Rosenthal was one of seven suspects arrested during the operation, which was conducted by the Broward Sheriff's Office in partnership with the FBI and other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. The operation was launched as South Florida prepared to host FIFA World Cup matches and focused on combating online child exploitation and human trafficking.
Rosenthal was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail. He was later released after posting a $15,000 bond.
