Families are invited to spend a creative afternoon at the Coral Springs Museum of Art during its upcoming Museum Family Day on Saturday, April 12, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
The event, held at the museum located at 2855 Coral Springs Drive, is free and open to the public.
Museum Family Day offers a welcoming opportunity for guests of all ages to explore the museum’s programs through art-making, storytelling, and family-friendly tours.
Visitors can take part in a drop-in art activity led by teaching artist Lisa Botto Lee, enjoy story time and browse books with Jay’s House Bookshop & Bakery, and purchase delicious sweet treats from Little Star Creamery.
Juliana Forero, the Museum’s Director, expressed her excitement about the event and the chance to introduce more families to the museum’s programming.
“I’m excited to welcome the families in our community through the museum’s doors for this free event where they can enjoy our beautiful space and learn more about our exciting upcoming happenings,” said Forero.
In addition to the hands-on activities, families can enjoy guided tours of the museum’s current exhibition, Ancestral Lines, specifically tailored for a younger audience. On-site registration will be available for summer camps, teen intensives, and workshops. Attendees are also encouraged to complete a community survey, sharing ideas and feedback on programming they would like to see at Coral Springs arts facilities.
Museum Family Day is part of the museum’s larger ARTventures program, which typically takes place once a month on select Saturdays from 2 to 3 p.m. ARTventures events are also free and include exhibit tours followed by interactive art activities designed for the whole family.
Admission to both the Museum and Museum Family Day is free, with the event made possible through support from FAB! Funding Arts Broward. Advance registration is required online to attend.
