The Coral Glades boys varsity lacrosse team won a thriller in overtime 13-12 over Immaculata-LaSalle High School on a goal by Joshua Singh.
“I’m incredibly proud of my team,” said Head Coach Kyle O’Neil. “They didn’t give up, and they played until the very end, guaranteeing us the win.”
On Tuesday, Joshua Perez led the team with four goals. Christian Garnett three, and Kyle Williamson and Deven Cathcart two. Coach O’Neil also credits Alex Minias for his strong game, after scoring a goal that helped the Jaguars maintain possession throughout the game.
Ryan Steinberg won 21 faceoffs, and Joseph Torregrossa made 14 saves in net for the team’s third win of the season. They had previously beaten J.P. Taravella and Cooper City but had lost four straight coming into Tuesday’s game.
Next, the Jaguars will face South Plantation High School on Friday, March 11, at 7 p.m. The Paladins are 4-3 this year and will be playing Coral Glades for the first time since 2017.
