The Faith and Fatherhood Food Distribution program received a special visitor on October 1st.
Laesha Brewer, the Miss for America Strong 2025 winner, visited the distribution center and spent time with families as they received food.
“I am glad to be here, and I want to support this program. I think what they are doing in the community is fantastic,” said Laesha, the Chief Giving Officer for the Jack Brewer Foundation.
She is the daughter of Jack Brewer, a pastor and chairman of the Foundation, which also operates the Second Chance Fatherhood Initiative. He leads a church known as Serving Ministries and has established a prison ministry to help incarcerated men reintegrate into society. They are known as second-chance citizens, according to Jack.
“My goal is to help these men return to society and return to their families. I want to help them get jobs,” said Jack, a former professional football player who played safety for the Eagles, Giants, and Vikings. He played college football for the University of Minnesota.
Many of the families who receive food from the distribution have fatherless homes, often because the father is in prison, according to Jack.
Suppose incarnated men want to participate in the Foundation’s program and receive support after release. In that case, they must participate in a 36-month program where they learn skills such as writing a resume, applying for a job, maintaining a home, and, if possible, reunifying with their families.

Some of the men receive jobs with the Foundation, distributing food to needy families. Most of the Foundation’s paid staff are recently released men. The distribution takes place every Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 7648 Wiles Road, Coral Springs.
