Families looking for a creative way to spend a Saturday afternoon are invited to the Coral Springs Museum of Art for Museum Family Day on March 14 from noon to 4 p.m.
The free event, held at the museum at 2855 Coral Springs Drive, celebrates March as Youth Art Month and encourages families to explore creativity together through hands-on activities and interactive experiences.
According to the museum, visitors can participate in a variety of art-making stations placed throughout, including pottery, character design, and zine-making. Additional activities include face painting, family-friendly tours of the museum’s latest exhibition, a gallery scavenger hunt, story time presented in partnership with the Northwest Regional Library, and a kids’ music circle.
Younger artists will also have their own dedicated space, with a creation station designed specifically for toddlers and led by one of the museum’s teaching artists.
Let’s Chill Ice Cream will be on site offering ice cream for purchase, and families will have the opportunity to tour the museum’s art studios and learn more about upcoming educational programs, including art classes and summer camp offerings.
Museum Family Day events are held periodically as an extension of the museum’s ARTventures program, which typically meets once a month on select Saturdays. The program usually begins with a tour of the current exhibition and concludes with a hands-on activity designed for participants of all ages.
The event is sponsored by Funding Arts Broward.
