Ramblewood Elementary School in Coral Springs was placed on lockdown Monday morning while police investigated an incident.
“We are currently working an active investigation in the area of University Dr. and NW 16th St.,” the police department said in a Facebook post around 10:20 a.m. Monday. “Ramblewood Elementary School has been placed on code secure as a precaution. Please avoid the area.”
The lockdown was lifted at 11 a.m., police said.
Additional information about the investigation was not immediately made public.
